It also has wonderful color photographs, charts, step-by-step instructions, and a question and answer session at the end of each chapter. I recommend it to people who want a book on more than just basic makeup application.

It tells you what tools you should use for your specific hair and skin and gives step-by-step instructions for certain hair and make-up looks. This is a great place to start for those who have no idea what they are doing, or a great way to learn more if you've already got a head start.

Detailed: I love this book! I read beauty magazines monthly, two I subscribe to. This book gave me lots of tips and some product info that was helpful. There is so much information out there it gets confusing. For me this book helps streamline the information. Retinoids, AHA's, BHA's,etc. information to help decide what is right for you. I highly recommend it.

Detailed: I bought this thinking it might have a few handy tricks and expected all the techniques to be shown as well as the final look. Not so.

There is nothing in here that I have never seen before in a magazine. I probably by about 10 beauty magazines a year.

If you have never worn make-up, it might is not good place to begin, they really don't show enough technique to be useful.

If you want an all in one place book for ideas on how to wear your make up, its not terrible. Just don't expect great step by step photos.
